I am happy to share a little about me here because I want you to feel confidence in me as a professional. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified EMDR Therapist. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento.

I have additional training in psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, couple and family therapy, child and teen counseling, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and others.

Along with years of private practice, I have worked with various agencies, group homes, schools, community organizations and businesses.

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. You may also like to know that I'm a religious person who believes in God and in his ever-ready guidance and help as we look to him for healing and growth. However, this aspect comes into my counseling only as individuals desire it as a powerful and often appropriate and natural tool for a return to well-being.

I'm a professional counselor, but I'm a person first. And I know what having difficulties in life and relationships feels like. I didn't go to school to become a professional. I did it to study the best ways to help people because I'm caring and concerned and want to help. I try to show this in my approach to therapy and in the safe and peaceful atmosphere I try to create around what I do.
